Landrieu Ignores Pro-Life Louisiana with 100% Pro-Abortion Record

Despite Senator Landrieu’s pleas to the contrary, President Obama’s agenda is on the ballot this fall. He said so, and after voting for his agenda 97 percent of the time, Landrieu herself embodies the failed policies of the last six years.

While Landrieu tried to avoid this awkward reality during Tuesday night’s debate, she still rated President Obama a 7 out of 10 – unbelievable for a man that has an approval rate in Louisiana in the 30s.

But while the debate highlighted Landrieu’s track record as an Obama rubber stamp, Landrieu still did not answer for her abysmal record on pro-life issues. That issue places her squarely at odds with mainstream Louisiana – the most pro-life state in the country.

Over the last six years, Senator Landrieu:

• Amassed a 0% pro-life voting record – voting against the sanctity of life each of the 14 times she had an opportunity.
• Opposed bipartisan pro-life legislation that passed overwhelmingly – a clear opportunity to move to the center on abortion issues.
• Voted for ObamaCare, which is diverting taxpayer dollars to fund abortions.

“Instead of protecting the most vulnerable members of society and standing up for the sanctity of life, Mary Landrieu instead sides with the pro-abortion lobby every step of the way. Landrieu traded in her Louisiana roots for a Washington address a long time ago, and her failure to stand up on the life issue makes it clear she has lost touch with Louisiana values as well.” – Jason Doré, LAGOP executive director
