LAGOP Chairman Calls For Landrieu Apology

The Republican Party of Louisiana this evening called on Senator Landrieu to apologize for comments calling into question the motivation of Louisiana voters who oppose President Obama and the failed policies Mary Landrieu has been in lockstep support of over the last six years.

“That Mary Landrieu would ascribe ugly racial motivations to voters’ displeasure with the policies advanced by President Obama and her shows both how out of touch and how desperate she is. Senator Landrieu’s comments are insulting to me and to every other Louisianian,” LAGOP Chairman Roger Villere said.

“Louisiana deserves better than a senator who denigrates her own people by questioning and projecting insidious motives on the very people she claims to represent. Senator Landrieu and President Obama are unpopular for no other reason than the fact the policies they advance are wrong for Louisiana and wrong for America.”
