Money Can't Buy Clout

Mary Landrieu’s Keystone failure last night didn’t just demonstrate her inability to use her supposed clout to advance important energy issues for Louisiana, it also highlighted the hundreds of thousands of dollars she has spent propping up anti-energy Senators that undermined the very policies she professed to support.

Since the 2008 election cycle, Landrieu gave more than $300,000 to help elect 35 Senators who killed her effort to advance the Keystone Pipeline yesterday.
